The European Day of Languages is a celebration of European languages held on 26th September every year.  The main aims of the celebration are to promote the benefits of language learning, the linguistic diversity of Europe, and to encourage language learning among people of all ages. I took part in with my students and created a quiz for my students to share interesting facts about European languages. We discussed about the benefits of language learning and what it means to be bilingual, trilingual or a polyglot. I also took some European fun activities.

                 No Bullying

Students of LEPL  Zestaponi Kldeeti Public School (in 2019)

Effective bullying prevention programs are being used regularly by my students and by me at school. It’s important parents, students, teachers, and school administrators to understand and learn how to manage bullying that occurs at school and elsewhere. I carried out a project "No Bulling" with my students who have increased their knowledge on this issue, organized an anti-bullying week and shared their knowledge with the local community, parents and other peers.

TV show

Project-based learning is always beneficial for students. Students are happy when they find information on a current issue or problem, sort it out, make conclusions, and make presentations. Today the students staged a TV Show in English, where they prepared the Rubric "Doctors", "Weather Forecast", "Sport" and "Cooks". The TV Show was completely innovative, at the end of the show many students said that they really wanted to become real doctors in the future. Students talked about the harmful effects of tobacco use, the importance of sports activity, and the problems of global warming. In addition to improving their English skills, they were given the opportunity to develop creative skills as well as gain self-confidence. Most importantly, they will be able to find new ways to solve problematic issues and deliver them to the audience in the form of a TV Show which was entertaining, interestingly presented and what's more, informative on important issues.

I believe If we raise children from an early age so that they can have fun and also think about problems while having fun, the world will  never have as much problem as it has today, like global warming or health issue. Teachers don't only teach them the subject at school, they should show children what benefits this subject give them in real life.

International Dance Day is celebrated every year on 29th April and it aims to raise people awareness of dance, encouraging new people to follow dance events and activities. This day was memorable for my students (students of LEPL  Zestaponi Kldeeti Public School (in 2019)) as they presented themselves to the school audience. They also prepared presentations about dances from different cultures of the world and got acquainted with the dance traditions and origins of dance in different countries. In addition to mastering the English language they needed to find information and presented it, students developed  different skills that is given below:
  • Dance works to keep the brain active. Which is found in many research. The ability to think and understand becomes good and with increasing age, the problem of weak memory is also overcome. Dance maintains energy from children to the elderly. This doubles the working speed. It is very beneficial to dance with music, as both brain and body work together.
  • Instead of going to the gym and dieting to reduce obesity, try dancing formula once. A few minutes of dancing burns a lot of calories in the body. And its effect also starts showing soon. Along with these, different types of movements lead to good exercise from the waist to the arms and legs and neck. It also provides relief in many types of joint pain.

TV show

My students and I presented the show "Kids on TV". The very creative children played to the roles of Chef. They spoke with the attending audience how to take care of their health. In addition, the students prepared a variety of  fruit juices on stage. The main message was health care.

Some students took on the role of designers and showed the audience on stage how to transform old clothes and sew a completely new dress with their own hands. Recycling old items was a message for the audience.

Nowadays, it seems that children spend almost all their time sitting in a classroom or in front of a screen. But it’s important for children to be physically fit and active to improve their overall health. According to this problem my students introduce some activities for healthy body.

Student English Language Conference

Students of LEPL  Zestaponi Kldeeti Public School (in 2018)

The idea of conducting The Student English Conference came from the fact that I wanted my students to get used to formal speeches in front of an audience. They were able to present themselves in front of the community, various schools and local educational institutions. I can truly say that all the skills they worked on during the conference will be useful in real life, at work or at home.

Studying English Language with Literature

Students of Zestaponi Free School (in 2011)

Why should we study literature at school? Learning a language does not only mean developing the speaking skills, but also being able to read various works in the original, share foreign literature and expand your worldview.
As for Discussion, after reading, develops the ability to think logically, which I pay special attention to in my classroom.

Studying English language by Technology and Games

Students of LEPL  Zestaponi Kldeeti Public School (in 2011)

I think learning English in elementary school is fun and easy using technology and games. The project in which the students participated developed all these skills.
